Garage Apartment Renovation

Before we began with the renovations:
   This wall was removed to turn two bedrooms into one. The home owners wanted a complete overhaul of this separate 2 bedroom guest unit. The drop ceiling was torn down and replaced with drywall throughout.
We custom-built cabinetry for the kitchen, a ceramic counter with custom oak trim and co-ordinating backsplash. A new sink and faucet and new electrical outlets and pot lighting finished it off. The flooring was replaced throughout with laminate. The bathroom was completely gutted and everything was replaced. We removed a small, useless hallway leading to the bathroom and it became part of the bathroom to provide more space .  Before renovations. |

Custom Renovation

The home owner wanted a complete interior & exterior renovation on her house. All of the interior & exterior existing walls were taken down to the studs and some walls were removed from the kitchen, dining & living room areas to turn the whole area into one open great room. The existing unattached garage was joined to the house with a hallway leading to 2 new bedrooms in the garage area. The existing stove was removed and replaced with a fireplace insert with a custom bench and mantel. Some windows were removed & replaced, some were relocated and new windows were installed in new locations. A window was removed near the fireplace insert and replaced with a front door. All new insulation, vapour barrier & drywall on walls and ceilings as well as new laminate flooring were part of this complete home renovation.

Family Room Renovation

This renovation has only just begun..
The existing area was unfinished, drywall has been installed & is now in the process of being mudded & finished. New carpet & ceramic tile will be installed on the floors. A new gas fireplace insert has been installed in place of a 25 year old gas stove. A custom oak cabinet & mantel is in process of being built by Frank, as well as custom oak trim around the opening to the adjoining area. More pics will follow as this work progresses!
